Developing Leaders on a Budget

Developing leaders from inside the organization – training up people who are already absorbed in your vision, mission, work processes – is a great way to build and maintain competetive advantage and heighten the engagement and retainability of the people you rely on to deliver value to your customers and constituents.

Depending on where your organization is in its growth journey, it can make sense to start this process by relying on your own team without the help of outside coaches and consultants. Here’s two versions of a quick “how-to” guide I wrote as a blogpost, and then was noticed by editors at Association for Talent Development.  They shorted it a bit and published it in the December, 2024 edition of TD Magazine.
