Less STRESS
It can come to us in many forms and from many places, and it gets in our way! And, stress just plain doesn’t feel good. But here’s the good news: We can work together to free you so you can embrace better things.
More JOY
Once you're focused on priorities that align with your values, and you see progress in these areas - how you will feel toward yourself, teammates, loved ones? Joyful living is not a selfish end – it enables you to give more of yourself to others.
Who I Serve
Working Adults
You were not designed for drudgery. "Work" can mean being absorbed in something that you intrinsically value and enjoy, something the world needs, and something that contributes to your financial security.
Leaders
Leadership can be learned and practiced - regardless of your current title or role. If you want to to sharpen your leadership skills, I can help you focus on time-honored leadership wisdom as we co-create practical exercises, specific to your current situation, that you can begin immediately.
Career Exploration and Transition
Everyone faces it at least once – the need for job/career change. These are among the most important times in a working person’s life as you choose a future direction for yourself and your family. A good coach can help you see the possibilities for positive change in these exciting and possibly challenging times.
Anyone Seeking a Life that "Flows" Better
"Life Coaching" can be for anyone: from the retiree who wants to fill their lives with meaning, to the parent who wants to better balance the demands of career and family, to those who find themselves distracted by various kinds of "noise" that gets in the way of ones' grander aspirations.
What I Do
Effective coaching is a collaborative effort that requires a high degree of honesty and trust between us. It is a conversational process meant to do four things:
ABOUT ME
Whether it’s in a professional or a personal context, supporting others has always been what comes to me most naturally. I find joy in helping people to clarify their purpose and values, to help them find their focus and plan, and to encourage them as they succeed in their most meaningful and worthwhile pursuits. I believe this is the purpose for which I've been created.
I have over 40 years of management and leadership experience in the U.S. military, in private industry, and in the non-profit sector, most of this dealing with information technology and organizational training and development. I have myself been led by, and learned from, some amazing leaders. I've seen that great leadership and accomplishment begins with self-leadership.
My life-long passion to contribute to the success of others has led me to obtain certifications from the Center for Christian Coaching (2023) and the International Coaching Federation (on target for early 2024).
A proud Buffalo native, after nearly 9 years of military service I made the Washington, D.C. area "home base" for 40 years. My wife and I have landed next to the beach in Southern Delaware, where we live within a short drive of both of our adult kiddos and pick up the fur from our precious Golden Retriever/Great Pyranees mix.
