Coaching for Teams, Leaders and Managers
of Small-to-Medium Sized Businesses & Non-Profits

I help managers and business leaders expand their positive impact.
And help teams get more of the right things done better.

Coaching is an eye-opening intersection of trust and truth that paves the way to progress.

"Working with Dave has been a blessing. While I've been in the professional world for many years, I lacked official training and coaching. Dave worked diligently with me to uncover my weaknesses, identify the causes, and provided me with the tools to turn them into strengths. The coaching that I had with Dave allowed me to reflect upon myself and how I could truly improve in my professional life. I credit Dave in the transformation I've had this last year."

Leadership Teams and Work Teams

I have a life-long fascination with high-performing teams. I’ve watched teammates bond, succeed together, celebrate each other. Over many years of supporting Fortune 500 business and non-profit organizational development initiatives across a spectrum of industries as a project manager and as a consultant, I discussed these things with the professionals who were most responsible to create and sustain a healthy work environment throughout their companies. Now, I help teams at any level of an organization experience the victories, self-awareness, and human connection that comes with great teamwork.

Leaders and Managers

There was a time when I was as an IT project manager and there were way too many projects and too little of me. When I cried “uncle” to my employer, THEY LISTENED! Their response affirmed me and sparked my loyalty. I was motivated to re-engage at a high level. My career taught me how great leaders think, feel, communicate, and self-regulate. So I'm thrilled when someone comes for one-on-one coaching to develop their leadership skills. It’s not just for them. It’s for their team members, their peers, their organization. It can be so impactful.

Need a change of scenery?

It could be a promotion, a lateral move within the same company, or time to make your way to a brand new situation. Transitions are among the most important times in our lives as we choose a future direction for ourselves and our families. My assessment process can open you up to possibilities you might have missed, and growth edges to focus on in pursuit of your "next." I know the importance of staying active while in transition. So together, we’ll create accountability structures that will keep you motivated to keep forging ahead.

ABOUT ME

Supporting others has always been what comes to me most naturally. Great leaders I've been associated with have modeled it to me, and I wanted to study and emulate it. In so doing, I learned that it is deeply satisfying to create the conditions for teams and people to flourish, and then to watch them succeed in their most meaningful and worthwhile pursuits.

I have over 40 years of management and leadership experience in the U.S. military, in private industry, and in the non-profit sector, most of this in the fields of information technology and organizational training and development. I'm convinced that leadership traits can be learned and practiced, and that for many people the journey begins with self-leadership.

My life-long passion to contribute to the success of others has led me to put in the study and earn the credentials that reflect my immersion in the profession of coaching teams and leaders.

A proud Buffalo native, after nearly 9 years of military service I made the Washington, D.C. area "home base" for 40 years.  My wife and I have landed next to the beach in Southern Delaware, where we live within a short drive of both of our adult kiddos. A musician at heart, I enjoy friends here who educate me about the live music scene up and down the beach.
